Component Sourcing

Sparrow provides excellent tools to perform component sourcing, as it is a very important part of the Electronics Manufacturing process. Once the customer accepts our quotation and decides to order with us, the immediate task is to re-check component available on the market and make sure there are no major fluctuations in price upwards. Tools in Sparrow are again handy to automatically do this task.

There may also be components within a BoM, the customer supplies that himself or some of them should be obtained but not placed. This situation is handled very well by Sparrow. It is possible to raise one or more Purchase Orders (POs) to single BoM suppliers. They all can be linked to a Sales Order and the received components can be kept in Sparrow for a specific Sale Order exclusively.

When a supplier sends the components, one or more receipts can be generated and each component quantity is tracked by Sparrow until it is fully received. Each item that has been received is either serialized by Lot or Unit. Barcode or QR code labels can be generated and Sparrow’s Inventory System keeps track of each item’s stock movement.
